These drugs, at least for many, are treated as appetite suppressants in public discourse. However, appetite encompasses both hunger and pursuit. It’s reasonable to wonder what else is recalibrated if GLP-1 receptor agonists are reducing the constant barrage of food cues for some users by altering the reward system’s volume knobs.
