Volkswagen has been spotted testing the upcoming T-Roc R on snowy roads, marking the return of the performance compact crossover to the automaker’s lineup. The new Volkswagen T-Roc R brings hot hatch power to the brand’s popular SUV segment, featuring significant updates to its exterior design and mechanical components. Test prototypes reveal modifications to the front bumper design and the addition of distinctive performance features that set it apart from standard T-Roc models.

The test vehicle showcases changes including a revised lower grille treatment and camouflaged front bumper edges, according to recent spy photographs.
