A new Volkswagen Passat lease deal offers UK drivers access to a range-topping plug-in hybrid estate car for just £249.42 per month. The offer, available through DreamLease via the Auto Express Buy A Car service, features the premium Black Edition model with a 62-mile electric range and extensive luxury equipment.

The three-year Volkswagen Passat lease agreement requires an initial payment of £3,292.03, equivalent to 12 monthly installments, according to the deal terms. The standard mileage allowance is capped at 5,000 miles annually, though drivers can upgrade to 8,000 miles per year for £275.63 monthly with a higher initial payment of £3,607.55.

Premium Plug-In Hybrid Technology

What makes this Volkswagen Passat deal particularly noteworthy is the inclusion of the top-specification model, which carries a retail price of £50,650. The 1.5 TSI eHybrid Black Edition combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and a 19.7kWh battery pack, delivering an all-electric driving range of up to 62 miles on a single charge.

Additionally, the plug-in hybrid estate car supports DC fast charging at 50kW, enabling battery top-up times of just 25 minutes. This capability makes the vehicle suitable for drivers seeking low running costs through regular charging, particularly for those with shorter daily commutes that fall within the electric-only range.

Comprehensive Black Edition Specification

The Black Edition trim level brings extensive luxury features as standard equipment. According to the deal specification, buyers receive an R-Line bodykit, 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, heated and massaging front sports seats, and heated rear seats.

Furthermore, the package includes 30-colour ambient lighting, a 360-degree parking camera system, a head-up display, and a tilting-and-sliding panoramic sunroof. These premium features typically add thousands of pounds to the vehicle’s retail price, making the monthly lease rate particularly competitive for an estate car of this specification.

Practical Interior Space and Build Quality

Despite the plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Volkswagen Passat estate maintains practical cargo capacity with 510 litres of boot space available. While this represents a slight reduction compared to conventional petrol or diesel variants due to battery placement, it remains generous for family use and weekend trips.

Meanwhile, rear-seat passengers benefit from ample legroom, while the cabin construction utilizes quality materials throughout. The combination of space and premium finishes reinforces the vehicle’s position as a practical family transport solution with executive-level comfort.

Alternative Payment Structures Available

However, drivers preferring lower upfront costs can opt for alternative payment structures within the same deal framework. A nine-month initial payment option is available for £2,706.68, with monthly installments increasing slightly to £267.41 for the remainder of the 36-month contract period.

In contrast to many lease deals that feature entry-level specifications, this offer provides access to the most expensive Passat variant currently sold in the UK market. This positioning makes it an unusual proposition for budget-conscious drivers seeking premium features without the typical monthly costs associated with high-specification vehicles.

The deal terms remain subject to availability and standard leasing conditions apply. Potential customers should verify current pricing and stock availability directly with DreamLease, as promotional offers may have limited duration or vehicle allocation constraints that could affect final terms.
